Congratulations to everyone involved.

Both teams played out of their skins!!!

On Friday the 29th of November, at lunch-time,  the girls’ mini leagues final was held in the field at lunch time.

The two finalists were the teams Meath and Kerry. It was a very cloudy and gloomy day. When lunch time came, both teams made their way out onto the pitch to get ready to start playing the match. Soon teachers and lots of school children came out to support both teams. Both the teams and the crowd were very excited.

The teams were made up of girls from 3rd,4th , 5th and 6th class. It was an extremely tight and exciting game. The crowd were on the edge of their seats wondering who had won when the final whistle blew.

Ms Flaherty, who was the referee, then revealed the final score to the two teams.

Kerry had won by a single goal in the end, the final score being 4-2 (to Kerry) 3-2 (to Meath). The crowd cheered the teams and formed a guard of honour to where Mr Ó hÓbáin was waiting to present the teams with their medals. After the presentation both teams got a group photo taken. The whole experience of the leagues was great fun for all.

We would sincerely like to thank Ms.Flaherty, Ms.O’Shaughnessy and Ms.Kavanagh for spending their time and organising the mini leagues for us and having such fun training sessions.

We had a wonderful time. THANK YOU!!!!!
